Survival Analysis for Clinical Researches Using Personal Computer

Abstract
Survival Analysis is a statistical method for measuring the time to occurrence of some event or response. The ability to use data from cases for which the response has not yet occurred distinguishes the techniques discussed in this article from
other
statistical method. And in clinical studies, patients usually enter the surdy at different times; therefore the lengths of follow up time differ among patients. So special techniques are required to analyze data with incomplete observations. In
this
article we introduce estimates of the survival distribution by either the Product-Limit(Kaplan-Meier 1958), or the Actuarial Life Table(Cutler-Ederer 1958), and the four statistics for testing the equality of survival curves.
